The relationship between the founder of PAN Zafiropoulos and vinegar goes back much further in time. In the mid-1950s, Panagiotis Zafiropoulos was fascinated by the process of turning wine into vinegar, as he learned it in his grandfather's cellar. Later, as an adult, he experiments with vinification on an amateur level.


The moment arrives when he decides to turn his hobby into a profession, is taught the art by an old, very experienced axe maker and installs the first production unit in Paleo Faliro. It soon turns out that this facility is too small to meet the ever-growing demand.


In 1983 the company moved to new privately owned premises in Pikermi, in the heart of the Attica vineyard. Thus begins a course of continuous growth and development, which gives it a significant share of the vinegar and related products market, while it holds a dominant position in more specialized products, such as Balsamic vinegar with honey and Balsamic vinegar with pomegranate.


Four independent bottling lines are built, utilizing the latest technology. At the same time, the export of the products is started.


The company innovates and produces the first balsamic vinegars which are placed on the shelves of the super market and immediately gain the preference of consumers. For the first time in the Greek market, the company launches Balsamic Cream, bringing a completely new product category to Greek consumers.


The production line is modernised with three independent lines and fully automated. Exports to the most demanding markets in Canada, Russia and the United States of America are started. The unique Lemon Cream sauce is launched, which even today continues to be an innovative and unique product.


The 1st Balsamic vinegar with pomegranate is created and produced in which we use exclusively fruit juices. The company produces and distributes three different types of mustard without preservatives. The range of selected codes is presented in Miniature 20ml, 50ml and 100ml packs in individual portions of Balsamic Vinegar, Wine Vinegar, Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Vinaigrette (Extra Virgin Olive Oil & Balsamic Vinegar) in disposable packaging. We are awarded by the international organization ECOVADIS for our social responsibility.


With a complete and large product portfolio and a well-organized sales network, PAN Zafiropoulos products are present in the largest supermarket chains in Greece, as well as in more than 25 countries abroad.



Strict selection of the raw material, respect for tradition, but also the use of modern technology, constant search and meticulous adherence to the rules are the principles that govern, from the first to the last stage, the production of the products of Zafiropoulos Winery. Its aim is to create safe products of high quality and taste standards.
